Kristen + John

These photos were taken by the wonderful Katie DiSimone for Kristen and John's wedding on December 6th. Kristen had seven bridesmaids in her wedding party, and I was also doing the hair for four of them, so we started the day early at 5:30am! Everyone had stayed at a hotel the night before, so once they had rubbed the sleep out of their eyes everything went quickly and smoothly.

During her hair trial, Kristen and I had experimented with an up-do that was sleek and modern. The effect was an updated version of a chignon that gave her hair volume but still kept it out of her face. I love the orchids in her hair! She wanted her makeup to have a more natural look, so I gave her a light application of purple eyeshadow and added black eyeliner and a set of false lashes to give her eyes some drama. The overall effect allowed her to keep a natural look in person while giving her face some color and spark for the pictures!
